COSPLAY COMPETITION We invite all you wonderful cosplayers to help us celebrate all that is fantastic about anime. Anyone who wants to cosplay non-anime characters are also warmly welcomed. Prizes to the combined value of $300 are to be awarded, thanks to our sponsors.Close to the venue is a courtyard that begs to be used for taking the greatest photographs.
LIVE TROLL DUB COMPETITION Do you find troll subs hilarious? Well so do we. This competition allows teams (or versatile individuals) to try their hand at writing AND performing live troll dubbing. It's challenging, its funny: all we ask is that you consider that children may be listening. A workshop will show and replay a selection of scenes to give you time to write a script. Later on you'll perform your dub in front of an audience with a chance to win a prize.
TRIVIA QUIZ For all you diehard anime fans: how well do you know your anime? This quiz is for fans of all ages.
'RED FACES' STYLE TALENT QUEST Fancy singing your favourite songs, have a skit you want to try out or have any unusual talents you'd like to share? Well this is your competition. How long can you perform before the judge hits the gong? Prizes for the best and the worst performances!
DIGITAL DRAWING COMPETITIONPrinted images are to be displayed in the Foyer. Two prizes to be awarded - one for best fantasy art and one for best manga art. Submission guidelines are on the Rules page.
QUICK DRAW COMPETITION What can you draw in 7 minutes? Do a quick sketch and show us all what you can do. Best sketch wins a prize. Sketches will be displayed in the Foyer. Submission guidelines are on the Rules page.
UNDER 12s COLORING COMPETITION We have a selection of images children can colour with crayons and there are prizes for 3 categories: under 6s, under 9s and under 12s. Images will be displayed in the Foyer. Submission guidelines are on the Rules page. PLEASE NOTE: Children under 9 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.
LIVE FORUM Just like a forum but in 3D space. At the beginning of the forum submit questions or comments to the moderator who will initiate the forum discussions.
AUCTION Have items you want to sell like artwork, books, mangas, cds, figurines, dvds, games etc? Then put them into our auction. Our fee of 10% of the final price will be donated to the Red Cross Japan and Pacific Disaster Appeal so get rid of those unwanted items cluttering your shelves and help Japan too!
FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL As well as screening lots of anime we will also be showing 5 Eastern Eye Asian-language films. Films to be confirmed.
GAMES CORNER Into playing board games? Then this corner is for you. There will also be tables set aside for those of you who like to play electronic games or games on your laptop. Just bring your own gear and start playing.
GUNPLA (GUNDAM MODELLING) DISPLAY Into Gundam in a big way? Come see a display of GUNPLA and have a chat to Rob while he customises a well-loved member of the Gundam OO family.
