LOCATION, DIRECTIONS & PARKING


anime.au.11 is being held at the Manning Clarke Centre, at the Australian National University which is very close to Canberra's Civic Centre. Opening hours are between 10am and 4pm.

Getting to Canberra
Flying: Qantas, Tiger and Virgin Blue all fly to Canberra International Airport. An hourly bus service, the A1 Airliner, operates on Sunday between Canberra International Airport and City Interchange.  It is a 7 minutes walk from the City Interchange to the venue. Coach: V/Line, Murrays, Greyhound and Firefly all operate coach services from or near the Jolimont Centre, which is located centrally. It is an easy 5 minute walk from Civic to the venue. Please refer to the following sites for more information.

Rail: Countrylink trains travel between Sydney and Canberra Railway Station, located in Kingston. Please refer to http://www.countrylink.info/ for timetables. The station  is approximately 10 minutes away from the venue by taxi. Drop off point would be the corner of University Ave and Childers St.

Driving: The two highways that feed into Canberra are the Barton Hwy via Yass and Federal Hwy via Goulburn.  Both these routes merge into Northbourne Avenue and continue south into Civic. The University can be approached from Barry Drive.  Please refer to http://transport.anu.edu.au/index.php?pid=59 for further directions and parking information.  There are limited parking spots on campus. Parking is also available around Civic.

The venue's close proximity to Civic means that walking from the City Interchange, Jolimont Centre or parking in Civic is easy. The clearest route to the event is down University Avenue through the campus, turning right onto the ramp that leads up to the Manning Clarke Centre, just before reaching Union Court.

Entry to the the event is via a small courtyard to the right of the Manning Clarke Centre, where registration and ticketing will take place.

Wheelchair Access: The recommended path via University Avenue is suitable for wheelchair access. An alternative access point is from two ramps: the first off Kingsley Place and then a ramp to the right that leads directly to the registration point.
 

Transport via bicycle: The ANU encourages Green transportation and possesses generous facilities for riding and storing bicycles. Please use bicycle paths wherever applicable. Refer to http://transport.anu.edu.au/ for more information.
